The Process

This is the process followed for a buy or sell transaction of a business.  If you are only interested in a Confidential Business Valuation Report or a General Business Operational Review, those are separate types of transactions and can be provided for a small fee.  Certified Business Intermediaries are specifically trained to manage this process efficiently and are held to a higher standard professionally.

1. We begin with a Non-Disclosure Agreement, which allows Legacy Connect Partners (LCP) to confidentially review basic financial and operational information. 
2. Based on that information, LCP will prepare a FREE preliminary Confidential Business Valuation Report.
3. Sign a  Consulting Services Agreement.
4. Marketing of the business to potential partners.
5. LCP will meet with potential partners, obtain appropriate Confidentiality Agreements, provide them necessary information, and, as appropriate, arrange and conduct on-site visits.
6. Identify partners from which to solicit bids.
7. Negotiate terms of a Letter of Intent to purchase.
8. Conduct Due Diligence.
9. Participate in meeting with the purchaser to ensure a smooth transition.
10. Complete the Closing process within 60 to 90 days of signing the Letter of Intent.
